Templates 18 & 19

Good Morning! I hope you are doing well! This afternoon at 3:30 I embark on my bus adventure to Alabama. I scared myself last night! I had cleaned out my roving garbage can/file cabinet called a purse yesterday morning.....literally cleaned it out, purged it of all of it's contents, including my bus tickets! I sorted through the contents, separated the stuff I needed to take with me on the trip, put my change and cash into a very small purse and put it in my backpack, then I put my driver's license and debit card with some other little stuff I needed for the trip in a cosmetic bag.  I use it to keep stuff like pens, the store cards I don't use all of the time, gum, headache meds, and other stuff in when I'm actually carrying my purse. But last night I went to check what time I get into each station so I could write it down for my hubby and the kids. I couldn't find my tickets!! I looked in my purse and the backpack. Not in either one. I was spazzing out just a bit! I thought, "OK, calm down, backtrack and replay everything you've done since you cleaned out your purse this morning!" The only place I can actually say that I spent a LOT of time, and the place where I cleaned out my purse, is my slightly cluttered desk. So I looked on my desk and found my tickets under some papers that I had been looking through before I went to the store. WHEW!! The tickets are now in my backpack!! I'm not the most organized person in the world, but I'm trying to get more organized! My computer and external hard drive are more organized than the rest of my stuff! I'm even more organized when I'm traveling! After I get back home....I'm going to really make the effort to get myself more organized and purge stuff that is really cluttering up my life and my space. Then I need to buckle down and make the jewelry and other ideas that are in my overly full mental file cabinets. Picture the cartoon file cabinets that are stuffed to the brim and papers are peeking out over the tops of the drawers. That's what my mental file cabinets are like! The ideas are wanting to explode all over the place in my head. It's time to take them from mental conception to actual reality and get them out so others can enjoy them!

I'm sharing a day early since I'm not going to be posting until next Tuesday. At least I hope it's next Tuesday. The weather is going to be a major factor in all of this. They are estimating that we may get anywhere from 3 to 12 inches of rain from what's left of hurricane Isaac....depends on who you are listening to! The weather channel says we may get 6-12 inches, our local weather stations are saying we might get up to 3 inches! We will see who is right! It will do what it will do and we have no control over the weather.

Here are the previews and the tags I made with today's templates 18 & 19. Happy creating!

Fall Quick Page

Good Morning! I hope you are doing well. I'm getting ready for my trip to Alabama on Thursday. Getting my laundry done so that I can pack it as soon as it comes out of the dryer. Then I'll be going to the store to get my snacks and drinks that I'm going to take with me. I'm going to get stuff done beforehand so that I can take a long nap tomorrow before I leave at 3:30. I don't sleep on buses very well, and I've got 4 stops along the way that are all an hour to an hour and a half.....two of them in the wee hours of the morning. One is in Louisville, Kentucky and the other in Nashville, Tennessee. I'm hoping that the bus will not be jam packed with people trying to get somewhere for the Labor Day weekend. Though if they are headed south like me....we will all be getting a little wet from the rain that hurricane Isaac is stirring up. I'm sending prayers to those being affected by this hurricane along the gulf coast. The local weather people are saying that we may be getting up to 6 inches of rain when the storm heads up to Illinois from the gulf. We need the rain! And hopefully, it will not be flooding rain....we don't need that!

Today I have a fall quick page that you can create with. It's full size (3600x3600), and there are 3 framed areas for your pictures, and four borders that you can keep or delete. The rest is up to your imagination. It is for personal use only. It's in .psp, .psd and .png forms for you to use. Here is the preview of the quick page:
Here is the media fire link where you can download this quick page. If you have any problems with the link, please leave me a note in the comments and I will get it fixed for you.

Masks 51-55

Good Morning! Hope you are doing well! We got about 2 inches of rain yesterday! May be a little late, but much needed anyway.

Thursday, I'm headed to Reform, Alabama to help one of my younger sisters move to Illinois. Everybody keeps telling me that I need to rethink my trip, but my sister is moving and has a deadline to meet for moving. I know that the storm in the Gulf of Mexico by the name of Isaac is moving toward the coast, but as of now, the track of the storm is only going to dump some rain in that area of Alabama. But, we all know that these storms are not predictable, and there is not a thing I can do about it. I will be having my solar powered weather radio with me on the bus so that I can keep up with the weather. If I have to stay in a motel somewhere between here and where the bus stops in Tuscaloosa, then that's what I've got to do. It's up to the bus line as to whether we will go all the way through, or stop somewhere along the way. I'm not going to fuss over it.

Today I've got some masks for you to create with. Here are a couple of tags I've made with 2 of the masks, and the preview.

Back To School_Extras Part 3

Good Morning! Today school begins! My youngest son will find out what he has to have for his college art classes. There will be a huge run on the basic art supplies by the art students at the two arts and crafts stores here this week. My grand kids will be starting their school year today, too. One is a sophomore, one is in 7th grade, and one is in the 4th grade. I hope that their school year goes better than last year, especially for my grandson. He was bullied quite a bit last year by some students. I know of at least once last year that another student tried to trip him down the stairs. The school says that they have to look at the security tapes before they will do anything.....IF they do anything, to the students who are bullying him. My grandson is not an aggressive person, and he won't fight unless someone does something to him first. Don't know what's up with the bullying crap, but it has got to stop! I was bullied when I was in school, too, so I know what he's going through. And the bullying is going in new and more violent directions even with the younger kids in elementary school.

Today is the last of the Extras for the Back To School kits! I hope you have been enjoying them, and have found lots of stuff to create your student's school pages....or other creative endeavors for your other pages! Here is the preview of this kit:

Back To School_Extras Part 2

Good Morning! Hope you are doing well! Tomorrow my youngest son and grand kids go back to school. I've also got to go to the city governemtn offices and find out about the status of a permit for the stuff we want to do to the outside of our house. It's been three weeks since I turned the paperwork in, and even though I know that we are not the only ones wanting permits for fixing up our house, it is a little slow in getting done. It would be nice if there wasn't so much bureaucratic red tape to get things done.

Today is part two of the back to school extras. More papers and more goodies for you to create with. Tomorrow will be the last of the back to school goodies. Here is the preview of part two:

Back To School_Extras Part 1

Good Morning! It's Saturday, and only 2 days before the grand kids start school again. Both of my sons will be attending college again this year. My oldest son is taking more prerequisite classes for nursing school, and hoping to be able to get into a nursing school. My youngest son is taking more art classes this year. He's taking glass and sculpture classes. Both of my sons are really good artists, but my youngest son has followed his passion for art.

Today is the first of 3 parts of Extras for the back to school kits for you to create with. Not all of the items in this file are shown. Here is the preview of this file of extras:

Back To School_Elementary

Good Afternoon! Well, the storms are gone....for now. It's been a wild weather day here. We've been under two severe thunderstorm warnings and got about 3 1/2 inches of rain! The storms started about 8:30 this morning and seemed to go on and on and on. Lightning and thunder until about 2:30. Thunder I don't mind, but the lightning is not my computer's friend and my computer was shut off and unplugged until 3 this afternoon. I'm actually happy that we got RAIN! We are severely behind in the rain this year, and this will help make up some of the deficit in the rain. It's a bit too late to help the corn, but some of the soy beans were planted late and the rain will help them quite a bit!

The Elementary kit for today is a cute kit! Not all of the elements are shown in the preview, but there are quite a few elements for you to create with, and a lot of cute papers, too! Tomorrow's kit is the Emo/Punk/Goth kit, more emo/punk than goth. Here are the previews for the Elementary kit:

Back To School_Turquoise

Good Morning! I'm going to post this for you before I get insanely busy with school shopping later this morning. It's going to be interesting driving around to the different stores today because Illinois State University is starting student move in today. At least IWU isn't as bad with move in as ISU!! OMG! When ISU students move in, there are several major streets that are closed off, or down to one lane, for them to move in. As I understand it, the students and their parents have a certain time they have to move the student's belongings from the car to the curb, then they wait to move their belongings into the dorms. The traffic is insane, and so are the stores and restaurants after the students are all moved in. Most of the Illinois Wesleyan students have been here for the past 3 weeks, but they haven't started school yet. ISU starts the 20th, and IWU starts the 27th....but a lot of the IWU upper class men are here already. Wonder what this year is going to be like with the football players house across the street from us? They are a WILD bunch! If they are not burning bonfires in the back yard with 12 foot flames and partying on the porch roof in their boxers and ball caps at 7 in the morning.....it's throwing their booze bottles across the street onto ours and the neighbor's sidewalk and driveways to the west and into the park across the street on the other side of their house to the south. The first couple of months of school, there is a party of 20 or more students almost every weekend, and they are not quiet! Never a dull moment during the school year around here! And that's not including the grand kids and their wild goings on with classes and classmates, and the inherent drama with the school year. There are days I wish I had never moved from the smaller town I used to live in almost 20 years ago! I was so much happier there! But, you go where the jobs are and make the best of it.

Here is the turquoise back to school kit. Tomorrow will be the Elementary school kit. There is also an Emo/Punk/Goth kit, plus a few mini kits with papers and elements that can be used with all of the kits that are in general colors for you to create with.

Back To School_Red

Good Evening! Hope you are doing well. Sorry I'm late in posting. I've been doing some other things that needed to be done. Tomorrow is day one of the back to school shopping with the grand kids. They have to have some new shoes, and they are going to be trying on tennis shoes and regular school shoes. My grandson needs some new pants and shirts, too. Since my hubby will be home tomorrow, he will get to experience what I've gone through since our oldest son started school 27 years ago. He never did want to go school shopping, and he's going to get to go tomorrow. He may as well get a good dose of the chaos, havoc and mayhem! :) He might get lucky *cough* and it won't take too long....but with kids that are finicky about what they wear....that won't be a short trip!

Today is the red kit. Tomorrow will be the turquoise kit. Here is the preview of today's kit.

Back To School_Purple

Good Morning! It rained some last night! YEA! We got a half an inch. Wasn't a drought buster by any means, but we will take any rain we can. We've had high temperatures for the summer and are quite a bit behind on rain this summer. The temperatures have been in the upper 90's and low 100's this summer, and without the beneficial rains, it's not been good. Some of the farmers in the mid-west have already lost this year's corn and soybean crops, and that's going to be hard on the food supply for a lot of the world. I'm definitely praying for rain for the rest of the summer and into the fall, a LOT of snow this winter, and rain from spring through summer next year so crops can get back to "normal". We don't need a ton of snow all at once, just all through the winter. Ten inches of snow equals one inch of rain. A slow trickle into the soil is way better than two inches of rain in an hour. I would rather have it rain lightly all day that soaks into the soil than get two inches in an hour and most of it going into the street gutters or flooding out crops. I know some places around the world that haven't had much (if any) rain would like to get some, too! I know that there is a way to get the over abundance of water elsewhere (flood water), I just don't know if it's financially feasible to do. I also know that there is a way to replenish the underground aquifers, too, but I don't know if it's financially feasible either. Both would take cooperation from the general public as well as city, county and federal governments. And neither would be cheap! But I know both can be done. I need to find a really good patent attorney and an engineer! LOTS of potential for both ideas, and would also create quite a few jobs! And I know that there are people who need a job.

Purple is your creative kit for today, and tomorrow is the red kit. Here is a preview of what is in the purple kit.

Back To School_Orange

Good Afternoon! I'm a little late today. I stayed at a friend's house last night. Yesterday was a rather odd day. It started out with me following my parent's to Farmer City, IL. I knew that I was NOT going to be going home at noon if I went to visit my friends there,  so I took the truck. Well, to make a long story short.....I locked the keys in the truck and had to call home to have someone bring me one of the 3 spare sets. I really had no intentions of spending the night at my friend's house, but that's what happened. I had to go to Dollar General to get me a night gown to sleep in because my friend is way smaller than I am, and I wasn't going to sleep in my clothes. But I did have a good time. We made homemade salsa and it was YUMMY! She gave me some of it to bring home with me. It won't last long at this house!

Today is the Orange kit. Tomorrow will be the Purple kit. If there is a particular color of back to school kit that you would like, leave me a note/request in the comments and I will get it done and post it on the blog. Here is the preview of today's kit:

Back To School Kit_Light Blue

Good Afternoon! How are you doing today? Sorry I'm a little late in posting today. Life stuff called and we all know how that goes.

Today's kit is the Light Blue. I hope you are finding the goodies in these kits helpful in your creating. At the end of the colors, there will be one or two extra files with some frames, tags, and other goodies will be added along with some extra papers to make your creations interesting. I'm thinking about making some blank quick pages for you to create with.....maybe with some extra goodies included.

Tomorrow's kit will be the Maroon kit. And here are the previews for the Light Blue kit.

Back To School Green Kit

Good Morning! I hope you are doing well! It's day 4 of the back to school kits....today is the green kit. Since I started working with Paint Shop Pro in 2003, I've seen a LOT of different types and styles of kits. The more kits I attempt, the more I learn about doing them, and it is an on-going learning process. Lots of things are not so black and white when you get to looking at the different aspects of making the goodies to put into a kit. But, I will continue to try to create kits that you want to use to create your digital scrap book or brag book pages with.

The green kit is full size and the goodies can be re sized to fit your needs. And, not all of the goodies are shown in the preview. Tomorrow's kit is Light Blue.

Here are the previews of the green kit:

Back To School_Gold

Good Morning! Well, the grand kids are all registered for the new school year! We have a Sophomore, a 7th grader and a 4th grader!! My oldest granddaughter should have been a Junior this year, but she needed to repeat her freshman year....it was a lack of doing the homework to get good grades thing. She aces tests (85-100), but she wouldn't do her homework. I don't know what was up with that, but hopefully she can figure out that doing homework is necessary and is a huge part of her grades and do better with getting it done this year! All three of my grand kids are quite capable of pulling A's and B's! They aren't dummies that's for sure! I swear they are way smarter than me at some things! But the grade issue is a case of non application of attention, intelligence, and talent that got my oldest granddaughter in grade trouble. I wish there was a pill to keep teenagers more focused on their school work and way less focused on each other! Ah, the raging hormones of youth! There are times that I wish the hormones didn't kick in until at least 21! But that is something that is under the control of Mother Nature.

This is going to be a whirlwind next 13 days as school supplies for the grand kids are going to have to be purchased! And I'm having way too much fun with these back to school kits! (Constant reminder of some of what the grand kids need for school!) I keep finding new goodies to add and they will be put into the "Extras" files. My lips are sealed as to what they are. There is one new goodie that I actually added to the school color files, this file has one that can be put with the Black/White file and one put with the Blue file. It's a surprise!

Today's kit is the Gold kit with Black, Silver and White. Not all of the items in the kit are shown, and it is for Personal Use Only. Items can be re sized to your personal preference for your creating.

Here are the previews of the Gold kit:

Please remember to read my Terms Of Use (TOU).
